The Three-Minute Thesis <  > competition is an annual competition held at 200 universities across the world. It is open to PhD and master's students and challenges participants to present their research in just 180 seconds – in a way that is understood by an audience with no background in their specific research area. For the first time ever, Rhodes University competed in the 3-minute thesis (3MT) competition and students registered at the university got to compete for some great prizes.

 NRF-SAIAB would like to congratulate two of its winners:

Winning 3rd Prize in the “Deans and DVC Top 3” category

  • Chantel Elston (Postdoc Researcher at SAIAB)

Winning 4th Prize in the “Postgrad Liaison Committee selections” category

  • Takudzwa Comfort Madzivandzira (final year PhD candidate registered at RU & supervised at SAIAB)
