Technical and field support to the Acoustic Tracking Array Platform
I joined the NRF-SAIAB team in January 2017. My primary responsibilities are to provide technical and field support to the Acoustic Tracking Array Platform, in terms of servicing the acoustic telemetry and associated instruments, in collaboration with ATAP’s partners around South Africa and southern Mozambique. I am also responsible for the technical aspects of the telemetry data management and data extraction for users of the platform.
I am also responsible for the management and booking of the institute’s small craft fleet. Our fleet facilitates various research programs on local estuarine and freshwater systems.
