Building on the South African Coelacanth Legacy
SAIAB published Building on the South African Coelacanth Legacy: African Coelacanth Ecosystem programme 2001-2013 to mark the 75th Anniversary (1938-2013) of the discovery of the living coelacanth off East London.
Marine researchers, managers and policy makers from around the country gathered in Port Elizabeth in 2013 to celebrate the impact of this discovery on marine science in South Africa.
